LEGO Movie 2 !!
Aaaaaah!!! I was so excited to take the kids to see LEGO Movie 2!!
We loved it! Just as good as the first and awesome music.
We were first in the theater.
Milo isn't quite ready for a movie theater experience but it was nice hanging out with just Kai and Luka♥

Kid's Workshop!

Kai had a basketball game but I took Luka and Milo.
They both did a great job with building their clock trays♥

Happy Birthday Luka! He turns 5
Happy Birthday to my middle child♥♥
Luka turns 5! Where did the time go???
Per Luka's request, a tall heart-shaped chocolate cake with strawberries and sprinkles.
I took the boys out to lunch.
My plan was to then surprise Luka with a trip to the movie theater to see LEGO movie 2 but it was still sold out even a month after release. We're going to try next weekend!

Ninja Warrior!
We discovered that the show 'American Ninja Warrior' is available for streaming so the kids have been watching it. (It's a great show!)
Every time it's on, the kids put together their own obstacle course.

When we went to the book signing last week, we got free tattoo stickers!

オセロ！
It's mid-winter break for the kids so we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa♥
Othello is a fun game I grew up playing.
Milo call it "Banana Game" but he loves to play it.
Milo loves to rock in this rocking chair.
We don't see Grandpa too often but Milo really enjoys hanging out with him.
Author Ben Clanton book signing !!
I decided to take the big kiddos to a book signing by one of Kai's favorite author...Ben Clanton who wrote the Narwhal and Jellyfish series.
I wasn't surprised to see a full room by the time we got there but we managed to find a nice spot.
Raffle tickets were given out and Kai won a lanyard!
The boys were so patient waiting in line to meet him.

We each brought one of his books so I also got a book signed.
How cool!!
After the book signing, another local author was at the launch party.
Kazu Kibuishi is the author of the "Amulet" graphic novel series, a book James bought for Kai over the holidays! We picked up book #2 and got it signed as well.
It was a great day!
For being such good/patient boys, I treated them to a delicious lunch outing.
