Back to the grind...

Spring break is over and school is back in session.

Weather has been gloomy lately but we still go out for walks.

And it's kind of nice because we get the parks to ourselves.

Milo wanted help up the rock so I helped him.  

He wanted to go even higher..

He needed help down though.

It gets so dry in the winter...every time we get out of the car, Milo's hair sticks up from the static!

Luka found some teeny tiny pine cones!

We picked up some lunch at the Metro Market.

A trip to the coffee shop..Milo scored a cookie while Kai and Luka each got to enjoy their own hot chocolate♥

Morning walk!

I love the time I spend together with Milo.

When Kai and Luka are both in school, Milo and I get to explore and spend some one-on-one time♥

 With the weather being nice again, walking and exploring is what we've been doing.

I'm always getting coffee....

Milo is looking for a trash can for me.

(wow though...that coffee cup looks huge in his hands!)

I love it when the sun is out during winter...it's crisp, clear and cold♥

It's been raining all week but we got 2 days of sunshine!

Out for a walk to the trails and a short stop at the grocery store.

Old-Downtown walk with Luka♥

Checked out the new 'urban market' at the downtown mall...

I liked it!

very clean...super nice...organic, quality products but quite pricey.

They had a good selection of 'to-go' foods.

I went to custom order a Birthday cake for Kai.  

There's a whole lot of construction happening right now in the area so I had to park in 'old-downtown' (which is in fact 'new' considering all the new fancy shops) and walk over to the cake shop.

It's a great cake shop--Owned by a Japanese patissier who studied in France I believe.

Japanese-style cake is amazing...delicious..not too sweet and I love that they don't use icing/frosting.

Anyways...I custom ordered a Baymax chocolate strawberry shortcake so we shall see how it turns out!  We enjoyed the walk...window shopped a few fancy high-end boutiques.

It takes soooo long because Luka has to stop every minute to pick up something.

Trek back home

Walking home after one of Kai's swim lessons.

A simple 5 minute walk takes about a good 20 minutes when Luka walks.

(he's super slow...Sometimes I'll stroller him or backpack him)

And he likes to pick up rock and sticks every 2 minutes...

Patience Ivy...patience...

80 degrees..!

We hit 80 degrees on Thursday.

Friday was also in the high 70's...amazing weather right here.

After dropping off Kai at preschool, Luka+Milo and I have been taking outdoor walks and discovering more of our neighborhood.

Of course, Luka is a slow walker so we don't get very far...and it takes SO LONG to get back home.

カイがプリスクールに通っている合間にルカとマイロとお散歩です。

でもルカ遅いよ.....歩きが遅い！（笑）

I bought Kai this scooter (after seeing another kid at the park with one) and he just has no interest....

Luka does though but honestly, I think I've been riding it more than anyone.

It lights up too!

カイにスクーター買ってあげたけど全然興味なし。

ルカは興味あるけどまだ一人で乗れない。

一番乗ってるのは実はママ....

There's a chicken coop at Kai's school.

カイのプリスクールで飼ってる鶏ちゃん。

3匹の内一匹の名前は「ぴよ」だそうです。

"Mommy, put baby here" he says...

Hmm..Milo isn't quite ready for that kind of stroller yet.

「ここに赤ちゃん置いて」と言われました。

う～ん、それは赤ん坊用じゃないからごめんね。

Out in the patio.

I need to get some patio cleaning done.... sigh..
