Saturday baby get together...!

so we had a baby get together on saturday with james' fellow co-workers!

baby kai was the youngest and surprisingly they were ALL BOYS! ^_^

it's a new (monthly) get together planned by one of the dads and i think it's a good way to get baby Kai to play with other babies♥ well, he can't play just yet but he was definitely watching the other kids play ^_^

yep...it's a diesel jacket alright.

it's a gift from auntie erika...and boy did she spoil him!

a baby in a diesel jacket? holy smokes...

i don't even own any brands in my own closet!

it's for a 12month baby so it's a super early birthday gift.

it looks really cool though--can't wait to see kai in it!!

after a good nights sleep i awoke to find this!

kai's little foot is sticking out the crib!! it was cute...but i wonder if we should put the crib bumpers back on...

朝起きたら海ちゃんの足がはみ出てました！

baby tooth?! 歯？！

なんと海ちゃん、歯が生えてきてます！

今日モールで（ママとパパが）目の検査をしに行ったの。

海ちゃんがちょっと「グズってるな～」と思って口を見たらちょっとだけ血が・・・

よ～く見ると白い歯が歯茎からはみ出てるではないか！

海ちゃんおめでとう～！

痛いかもしれないけど頑張れよ～！

so we had a busy day today..errands to run, (mommy & daddy's) eye appointment, etc.

as i was waiting at the mall i noticed Kai was being a tad fussy...

i checked his bib and there was a brown spot.

what the??!

then i saw a teeny bit of blood coming out from his drool.

i looked closer and...KAPOW! there's a tooth coming in!

it's his botton front tooth and i can see it coming through the gums!

congrats kai~ it's gonna hurt and itch :'( but you're such a big boy, you can do it!!

kai's jumperoo...!

so kai has been an active kicker lately so why not get him an activity chair/jumper?

it was between a jumper and a baby walker...and since we have carpeted floors, the baby walker wouldn't work out so well.  so we ventured out for a jumper!

just like any other baby product, we found ourselves debating between SO MANY choices... 

which one is better, which has more toys, which is worth its price, etc.

so we kind of settled for a random baby jumper...THEN we found this winnie the pooh one displayed in a separate isle! we both fell in love with it right away♥ and we're so glad we got it!

毎日これに座っておもちゃと遊んでジャンプしてま～す。

いい運動だ！まだ立てないし、歩けない。

でもこれに座ると足と遊べるのでいい練習になるんじゃないかな？

sunday outing with kai...!

the three of us went to spend the day in downtown redmond this past weekend.

look, kai is super excited to be here!

週末に３人でレドモンド・センターに遊びに行きました。

（でもやっぱりまだ外は寒いよ～）

we checked out some baby boutiques♥

sadly, boutique shops are very unreasonably priced...so we walked out with nothing.

赤ちゃんショップがいくつかあって、ウィンドウ・ショッピングをしてきました。

uh oh..! someone is starting to look sleepy..... 

おっと・・・だんだん眠そうな顔になって来ました。

and Zzzzzz... he fell asleep soon after.

james and i got to enjoy some red mango.

そしてついに熟睡。

これをチャンスに、ジェームズとヨーグルトデザートを食べちゃいました。

海ちゃんの目！

地球みたい！青と茶色が混ざってて、このまま残ってくれるのかな？

ooo~ he still has somewhat blue eyes...mixed with brown...

hahaha for the first time, baby kai held his own bottle during the whole feeding!

he's getting good~!

since baby car seats need to be rear-facing, i can't see kai's face :'(

but there's a mini mirror you can buy and stick to the back of the car so you can see his reflection in your rearview mirror!! wow..so many gadgets these days.

後ろの窓にはると反射して運転してても海ちゃんが見えるの！

i guess he doesn't feel the pacifier hanging in his lips ^_^

my first airplane~!

it's here! the airplane rockabye♥

i purchased this for baby kai last week and i've been anticipating its arrival (O_o)

it's a wooden rocking plush-airplane toy!  it even comes with 4 buttons on the front that plays music♫

it's for 9 months+ so we'll have to wait a few more months before he can ride it.

アカデミー賞！

先週エリカおばちゃんが来て皆でアカデミー賞を見ました。

海ちゃんの後姿がかわいい～♥

頭のハゲてるスポットもだいぶ髪が生えて来たね！

o ya, last week erika came over and we all watched the academy awards. 

(although i didn't see ANY of the movies nominated so it was kind of boring....)

Kai's bald spot is slowly growing back some hairs! yay!!!!!

it's finally here! my long awaited new desktop arrived this morning, woo hoo!

i've got everything set up except the internet connection.

i'm a real doofus when it comes to technical computer set ups and what not... so i'm waiting for James to get home so he can set it up for me:) he's my personally IT guy.

yay i can't wait to upload all the videos i've taken these past couple weeks.

今朝パソコンが届いて（パソコン用のコードを買いに）すぐに出かけました。

いつも通りぐっすりです。

so right after i got my package i made a quick run to Target to get a surge protector.

(i didn't have a surge protector on my last computer and we're pretty sure it was the reason why my computer fried...i didn't even know this... see? i'm a computer noob!!) 

and poor Kai chan... since i watch him all day he has to go everywhere with me... 

although i think he enjoys getting out of the house, even if it's just for 10 minutes.

next time we'll get you a mirror toy ok? :D

青空！

今日は久しぶりに青空！

天気はいいけど寒い寒い！

顔が痛くなる位寒いです～

久しぶりのいい天気だったので、今日は車ではなく散歩して近くのスーパーに行って来ました。

wow how long has it been since we've seen this much blue sky???!!

it' so nice...but SOOOO chilly out, my face hurt!!

お～海ちゃんも喜んでる～！

so instead of driving today, we decided to walk a bit farther to Trader Joe's today.

Kai was all super happy and stoked!

おや？眠たくなってきたようです・・・

then he started to get...tired....

そして帰りには寝てました。

and by the time we were heading back home... Zzzzz
