Sunny wintery day ♥

We had some great weather this week!

Sunny, clear blue skies, crisp, cold but....DRY!

Seriously, my skin is dry and I'm constantly applying chapstick...

Kai went to the park with Daddy and look what happened when he went down the slide!

Decided to take the kids to downtown and explore a bit.

We walked and ventured around.

Luka was amazed by the "Very tall buildings!"

I found a new delicious organic cafe!

I bought myself a sandwich and it was the most delicious sandwich ever!

Definitely coming back...maybe next week with Auntie!

On Wednesdays Kai takes lunch to school...

Luka caught me making lunch so he requested his own lunch too.

Then we had a picnic in the living room ♥

After picking Kai up from school, we went to Target.

Stopped by Starbucks for coffee and got the kids a croissant to share.

This is a silly song that's popular in Japan right now so of course, I need to be in the know with all things popular in Japan.

Piko Taro has a popular song called PPAP, which the kids enjoy...but I played his other song "I like Orange juice" and the kids absolutely love it.

It's short, it's silly and funny.

Even Milo participates in the dance break!

ちょっと前からピコ太郎が流行ってるけど、最近の曲が子供たちに人気。

Dentist 歯医者さん

For the first time, we had a good experience at the dentist's office!

The kids have been going for years...semi annual cleanings.

Every time we went, Kai would cry.  

Last year was Luka's first time and he cried because Kai cried...

I was stressing out for weeks before this appointment...

Well, we did a practice run at home the day before.  I think it worked!

The kids were well behaved, did NOT cry and they even got X-rays done!

Phew....what a relief!

歯医者さんは何度か行ってます。

カイは毎回泣いて大騒ぎ。

今回こそは絶対に泣いてほしくなかったので、前日にちょっと歯医者さんごっこしました。そしたら見事なことに誰も泣かなかった！

一安心。

He loves tsum tsums just as much as I do...he definitely has that 'collector's mentality' with things.

Like his cars and trains...he likes to line them up and tell me "Look at my collection mommy!"

So he volunteered to hold my Mickey & Minnie collection when I told him I wanted to take a picture of it ♥

Hot cocoa ♥

I make some hot cocoa for the kids once in a while...from scratch!

I don't like the cocoa packets--too sweet! So I make a semi-sweet hot cocoa.

I have to boil milk to begin so when the drink is ready, it's SUPER hot!

The kids patiently wait for it to cool down.

They watch the steam slowly go away...

Well, I guess today it was taking too long to cool.
By the time Luka's hot cocoa was ready, he started falling asleep.

He made sure to drink every drop though!

Scrambled eggs...one of his favorite breakfast finger food.

So we might be in need of a haircut soon for this guy...

He has the weirdest cow-lick on the front so the hair just hangs right into his eyes.

I tie it up sometimes and I think he appreciates it...but not the pineapple hairstyle.

Freezing Temperatures

Last week we had freezing temperatures.

Dry and sunny but FREEZING!

Too bad there was no moisture....it would've turned to snow.

Although we did get a little snow--it hardly stuck.

We ventured out and found some solid ice!

Winter break is now over and Kai starts school again tomorrow...

James also goes back to work tomorrow.

Can't believe the holidays are over!  That was fast...

Milo loves bath time!

Sometimes he'll join them and all 3 with be bathing at the same time!

Milo is crawling, climbing and now stands.

He can pull himself up to a stand.  Now we need to practice walking on your own!

昨日はスーパーでお買い物。

クリスマスの飾り物がまだあり、白い雪の飾り物を「サンタのヒゲ」と言うルカ。

大笑いです。

たしかにサンタさんの白いヒゲに見えるね！

We caught him falling asleep...so I told him he should move to the sofa and lay down.

He didn't want to and decided to sleep here...

It's so cute!

We eventually moved him to his bed ^_^

Solo climbing...

Milo is blowing my mind...he is already climbing stairs all on his own.

Maybe it's a normal milestone for an 11 month old..but he's 'wow-ing' me because Luka was very delayed in the physical developments.  I make sure to stay right behind him but he's doing great!
