Snowmageddon 2019

Snowed in!

The icicles got bigger!

You know it's snowmageddon when the local grocery store is completely out of produce!

We even got icicles on the ivy plants on our fence!

SNOW!!!!

Look what we woke up to!

Weather report told us to expect about an inch... well well...we got more than that!

We woke up early and found out school was cancelled.  

Besides, I couldn't drive in this snow! 

(We have lots of hills around us...we live on a plateau)

Milo finally got to experience his first snow at 3 years old!

So excited!!!

We had a fun morning!

Snow was still falling.

Interesting thing though...we usually get heavy wet snow but this was POWDER snow!

It was hard to build a snowman.

A White Christmas!!

This year we had a rare white Christmas!

It started to snow on Christmas eve and there was talk about it possibly sticking to the ground.

(The weather forecast here is always iffy...)

Well we woke up to this much snow!

(For Seattle..this is an exciting amount!)

Kai was starting to get sick...so I took Luka outside to explore.

He loved it!

Luka built a snowman♥

I helped a little of course.

I'm hoping for more snow this winter!

SNOW DAY !

(Some of the slo-mo parts are long....)

Believe it or not this is our first decent snow day EVER!

The last time we had a good amount of snow was when Kai was a baby..

So this was a first for the kiddos♥

And good morning!

So exciting to wake up to this!

School was cancelled so we ventured out.

Walked over to Starbucks for some coffee and hot chocolate! 

And here's our snowman!

He shall remain nameless....

First snow/hail of the season !

Well the weather report was right this time...we got some snow!

It started out as hail.  By the next morning we were getting snow and it stuck to the ground for a little bit.  Quickly turned into slush but it was still exciting!

First Snow...!

We had our first snow on Monday!

Chunky snow that started to stick to the ground for a bit....but sadly it didn't last.

Still exciting though!

There's talk that we MIGHT get some more snow on Christmas Day this year.

A White Christmas?  That would be amazing!

今冬　初の雪が降りました！

少し積もったけどすぐ溶けちゃった。

でもわくわくするね！噂によるとクリスマスの日にも雪が降るかも！

そしたら何年ぶりのホワイト・クリスマスだろう！

Our tree and presents are complete!

It was fun getting gifts for the kiddos this year...and I had some fun getting quirky things for James too.  (He's always hard to find gifts for...but I got creative).

ツリーもプレゼントも全て完成。

もちろんほとんどは子供達へのプレゼント。

もちろんじぃじ、ばぁばなど。

今年特に難しかったのはジェームズ。

でもなんとかいい物見つけたぞ。

Mostly for the kids of course but some are also for my parents, sister, grandmother and we got a lot of goodies from Pa-Paw!

また雪が降りました...!

(this is a non-Baby post but....._

it's still snowing and it's supposed to snow more tonight!

yesterday was powdery snow...and today it was Dippin' Dot snow!

今日も雪が降りました！

かなり積もったけど、夕方にはほとんど溶けてしまいました・・・

もっと積もって欲しいな！

明日はもっと降るらしいけど、シアトルの天気予報はだいたいハズレ。

初雪・・・！

今日は今冬の初雪が降りました！

やっとって感じです。

個人的には雪は大好きなので、今朝からワクワクしてました。

かいちゃんと外で遊びたかったけど、まだ赤ちゃんだからやめときました。

風ひいちゃうとヤバイので・・・

あと２日は降るらしい！

FINALLY! this winter's FIRST snowfall♥

i personally love snow a lot...so i woke up super excited today!

i hear it's supposed to snow the next 2 days too...yay!!

i wanted to go outside with Kai but since he's still a teeny tiny baby i decided against it.

wouldn't want the little one to catch a cold.

but i did make a coffee run this morning.
