Kids Workshop!

It's been a while since we've been able to attend a Kids Workshop at Home Depot...
Well, it was crazy crowded but we successfully built our planter today!
今日は久々のキッズ・ワークショップ。
(子供たちが簡単に作れる作業。今回はプランター)
ルカ大喜びです。

カイも真剣です。
Kai is very serious...

出来上がり!
種は帰ってから植えます。
Project complete!
We will plant the seeds at home....

さあ、生えてくれるかな?
Seeds are planted!
(On a separate note, I had a very healthy snow pea plant growing on my patio for a few weeks.  It was doing great when one day a rabbit decided to come and nibble it all away!!
So..I'm re-planting some seeds as well...)

They even spin!

School project

Kai's school recently held a 'Multicultural Night'.
Students were given a cut out of a person to be dressed up as their 'Native Country' would.
We chose to dress it up in Japanese traditional Kimono, as close as we could.
We were required to use fabric/felt/stickers/etc.
I think Kai did a good job!

And separately, Kai brought home some school work and this was a nice surprise!
He would like to visit Japan one day.
I can't wait to take him!

"My Leprechaun trap!"

This was from St. Patrick's Day.
Kai came off the bus with a new project, "It's my Leprechaun trap!"

And on St. Patrick's day, we saw as rainbow!
How perfect is that?
The kids were excited saying there would be a pot of gold somewhere close to our house!

Birdhouse Project ♥

With some leftover wood, Baba decided to build a bird feeder / birdhouse for us!
The kiddos were intrigued.
We've since been visited by squirrels and many birds on our patio!

Milo hogged my tea...

Kai has grown so much--he's such a big boy now!

Kai's mini school project

In the past week, Kai brought home a school puppet to tag along with our adventures.
We kept a journal of all the fun things we did and would later be shared in class.
Wanted to share a few moments!

Luka really liked it.  He loves learning about Kai's school projects, etc.

We were able to spend some time outside, despite the awful rainy week.

Baking blueberry muffins, one of Kai's favorites.
Can you see Milo peeking up??

Luka helped out too.  He poured the batter into the cups.

^_^

In the waiting room.
This is Luka's new winter hat!
I think it's a .....dog? Anyways, it's very fluffy and warm inside and he loves to wear it!

Kai's creation--Fall candle!
He made this at his preschool and I love it!  I might take it to my parents over Thanksgiving and show everyone.  It's so pretty...!
カイがプリスクールで作ったキャンドル。
秋・Thanksgivingにぴったり!

Aaaaand it may have been someone's birthday last week.... MINE!
Mommy turned 33 and I can't believe it.
Kai sang me the birthday song and they loved watching me blow out the candles.
And of course everyone loved the cake.
Thank you James!
