my final ultrasound for this guy...@37 weeks!

o boy...he's gonna hate me when he sees this post someday...
here's his peen shot!
yep we're DEFINITELY having a boy♥

AND check this out! it's his face!
it was hard getting a good shot of it but here's what we got!
he's got big cheeks! i wonder if he'll have a full head of hair??

also, his head is way down in my pelvic area and my cervix is now 'soft', meaning it's getting really close to dilating..!
holy cow... he's coming really soon!

belly @ 36 weeks...!

he's big! he's heavy! and if it were up to me he can come out now!!
he's also a lot more active than before--his feet stick out the side of my belly!
i caught a few moments on video camera too.
by Monday, i'll be Full Term--meaning he can come out anytime starting Monday!
if my instincts are right, he's coming out sooner than October 17th...so we'll see!

i have my hospital bag packed up and ready!

also, we went on a hospital tour last week.
the "labor room" is a lot nicer than i thought.
it's not very "hospital" like, which is a good thing!
i get my own personal bathroom, hot-tub, refrigerator, sofa, flat screen tv with cable and dvd player, etc.
i should also start making a "pregnancy mix" on my ipod for soothing.

o boy...i am SO anxious...starting to panic a bit... EEEEE!!!!!

my family registry...!

today we are going to the japanese consulate to establish my OWN family registry ♥

i will be adding James as my husband \(o^_^o)/
and once the baby is born, he will be added too AND will become dual citizen just like mommy!
i'm kind of excited about this!
James even learned to write his full name in japanese, just in case they ask him to sign his name in japanese. ♫

stroller GET...!

 

 yay! so our stroller arrived Saturday!

who knew there was assembly required?

i was waaaay too tired and HOT from the heat so i just watched James put it together for me♥

tada~!! 

and once again i used snoopy as our "baby" and i test drove the stroller around the apartment.

i gotta say..it feels weird! the stroller is so huge i can't even see in front of me!

you can't tell from these pictures but the textile is a cute print of forest animals♥

including owls! porcupines and deer. it's pretty cute and i think it works for both genders.

this kind of stroller is called the "travel system"

it comes with an infant car seat/carrier, works as an infant stroller AND you can take that out and use it as a stroller for when they get older! WOW strollers have become so advanced these days...

o, and he gets a canopy top with a sun roof window! how fancy is that?!?

ok, this has somewhat of a backstory.
so my whole time working at emeritus, i've had squirrel things all around my desk.
(c'mon squirrels are uber cute!)
then alon got me the squirrel underpants one day!
(yes, this really exists. you can buy squirrel underpants)

hahaha! well it turns out at Archie McPhee's you can buy and actual canvas painting, framed in gold!! hence the gift! HAHAHHAHA!!!!

it's so great, i'm gonna hang it in the baby room♥ he's gonna be so confused by it...

belly @ 34 weeks...!

so round!! and shiny!! hahahaha
this week my doctor felt around my belly and she was able to tell that his head was already positioned down! i think he's ready to come out!

baby shower...!

i have amazing co-workers!

a baby shower was thrown for james and i and baby boy on Friday :D

wow! we got sooo much stuff...so much GOOD stuff!

and quite a few hand-made goodies!!

i still need to post pictures of them...but jon sent me a youtube video of the shower.

i found this cute dino 3-piece outfit!
well, i should first explain my snoopy doll..

i've had this snoopy doll since i was a teeny weeny baby♥
my grandpa bought it for me when i was like 2 years old.
he's been my favorite stuffed animal ever since!
when i was a kid, i used to dress snoopy up in baby clothes...mostly girl clothes :)
he's the perfect size!
so after we got the dino outfit, i dressed up snoopy..and voila!
it fits him perfectly!!

however, jamus doesn't seem amused by it...
hahahaha!!!

belly @ 32 weeks...!

i am 32 weeks along!
wow he's huge!
this weekend he would NOT stop kicking! he's kept me up all night :(
last night was really bad... i couldn't sleep.. and i got up in the middle of the night 3 times to use the restroom.
also, it hit 85 degrees today (இɷஇ ) hottest day this summer, so far.
our apartment is soooo hot! i had to take a cold shower to cool down...
but honestly, i kind of missed the heat :) it's nice having a few days of ultra hotness♥

belly @ 30 weeks...!

yikes! yes...i have been procrastinating on my weekly belly blogging...
i missed belly shots for week 28 & 29, but i don't think it was much different from this week ☺
it's hard to believe that i only have 10 weeks left!
(and actually i feel that he might pop sooner... so more like 7 or 8 weeks left!)

i was able to enjoy a full week off of work!
it was really really nice...
so i'm really not looking forward to Monday...
i'm walking even slower and my energy level is just 'bleh'!
hopefully i'll start maternity leave in early september!

today we are officially married...♥ !!

o my! i started feeling baby hiccups these last 2 weeks!

at least i'm pretty sure that's what it is...!

hematologist...?

really bummed today....

i was given a couple weeks to get my iron levels up!

so i changed my eating habits...i'm eating more red meat, green leaves, taking my iron supplements (with orange juice for better absorption). i stopped drinking coffee, milk and tea (upon research i found that these are iron blockers) and just overall checking everything i eat for iron... i honestly thought my results would be better.

but today my doctor called and said my iron levels haven't changed...

why isn't my body absorbing iron??!

so she made me an appointment to see a hematologist next week...a blood doctor.

i hope to find out WHY my iron is so low...and i hope the baby is fine :(

argh! no wonder i'm always so tired...

baked Kale chips...! yum!

so i've been told i'm very low in iron... :( need to bring those iron levels up!
(or else i'll need a blood transfusion and i really don't want that! EEK!)
i was chatting with Xine at work and she suggested i try some baked kale chips!
kale is very high in iron♥
