Halloween 2017!!

Kai had a long day this Halloween--a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch, a party at school THEN prepping for trick-or-treating.

He decided to take a short nap before we ventured out!

(I decided to participate too...my Rilakkuma kigurumi)

Meanwhile we got ready!

Like every year, we let the kids decide what they want to be.

Luka as Spider-Man, Kai as Mario and Milo in a hand-me-down Tigger.

But he happens to love Tigger so yay!

There were some elaborate homes with over the top decorations!

Some of them scared Luka a bit but Kai loved it!

Kai was shy at first but after a few doors, he took the lead!

"I don't know what these are but I'm excited!!!"

It was his first full experience with Trick-or-Treating this year.

(Last year he was only 1 so he didn't really understand what was going on)

He was sooo excited when we got home he started to sit and examine his haul.

Halloween 2016 !

We went to our usual favorite outdoor mall for trick or treating.

We got lucky again this year...It was raining during the day but it stopped for the evening!

Milo stayed in the stroller but he had a basket too so I trick-or-treated for him.

This year, Auntie came along!

Which was very helpful...3 kids are hard to manage.

We assigned one adult per child!

The kids had so much fun and I enjoyed it too!

I'm so sad Halloween is already over....but we have more holidays coming up!

Making Japanese Candy ♥

Japanese candy is super fun--You can buy 'candy kits' and make your own candies.  I never got them because I'm pretty strict about giving candy to kids--but I figured Kai is old enough to enjoy some candy now.  I bought a couple at Uwajimaya and this day we decided to make animal soft chew candies.

hee hee, he had fun!  (And yes, so did I! I'm the queen of candy!)

Now that I have a reason to buy these candy kits, I'm going to start buying some whenever I visit Uwajimaya so Kai and I can have a 'candy making' session.  Woo!
